Presented for the 1996 model year (late 1995 in Europe), the Nissan Skyline GT-R was an elite exhibition variation of the R33 Skyline. The R33 GT-R succeeded the R32 GT-R, and included a daintily refreshed form of it's ancestor's RB26DETT motor. This twin-super 2.6 inline six motor was matched to a 5 speed manual transmission sending capacity to each of the four wheels. Notwithstanding all wheel drive, the R33 Skyline included Nissan's HICAS four wheel controlling framework. While most of R33 GT-Rs were worked as cars, a restricted run of 416 vehicle renditions were commisioned by Nissan and worked by Autech in 1997 to commend the Skyline's 40th Anniversary.
